Poor lonely blog...

Who knew when I started this little knitscapades blog in early Feb that I would be kept from it until now? What, pray tell, would keep me away? A bouncy 17 month old and a high maintenance hubby. 'Nuff said. Princess has gone through a bout of the flu and several cough/cold/chest things in the last 6 weeks. I'm getting pretty good at the nebulizer. With that, I'm also getting good at restraining a wiggly toddler. Hubby also caught said stomach flu...I think I'd rather have it myself than have him go through it again. He's not such a good patient. Moving on...

So what have my needles be up to?? Well, let me share!! I've finished the back and 1/3 of the front on Lainey's Homespun sweater. After seeing the swatch and rubbing it on his face, the Mister proclaimed his desire for a sweater of his own. The yarn is on standby...all six skeins of it. Also awaiting is two skeins to be worn by Miss Katie and two skeins (in Covered Bridge Red...I love that name) to later be worn by Mr. Jacob. Good thing their birthdays are in the fall! I am feverishly working on a baby sweater in azure (blue for those of us with the 8 count box) Caron One Pound worsted for Col. First time with the pattern. It's working up well, but it's sparked a few four letter word episodes. I'm hoping to have it done by Wednesday when we meet up for the annual Easter Bunny scare at Sommerset. Seriously? Who names their bunny something that rhymes with molester? That's all I can think of, Hester the Molester....oy, the things we subject our kids to...and the photos we take to prove it!
